The 'Troubled Genius' EP is the first solo release by Mark Moldre, former lead singer of Hitchcock's Regret. The title track is lifted from the upcoming album “The Waiting Room” and was inspired by the events surrounding the Phil Spector trial. Produced by The Church's Tim Powles and pop maestro Michael Carpenter, with special thanks to Midnight Oil’s Jim Moginie - there is a dreamy cinematic quality to this music that Mark has titled Sonic Folk.
