The new album serves almost as a 'best of' collection - it features superb reworkings of some of his finest songs, given new color with the help of acclaimed producer and artist Joe Henry (himself on a roll following his most acclaimed solo album ever 'Civilians', and production work for the likes of Mavis Staples, Solomon Burke, Elvis Costello & Allen Toussaint). For nearly forty years LOUDON WAINWRIGHT III has been one of America’s most cherished music icons. His legendary wit and satirical genius have expanded his cultural reach from troubadour to silver screen regular. Produced by Joe Henry, the project came about while the two were digging through some of Loudon’s older albums.
