Though it took a good year for the pieces to fall completely into place, the demise of internationally acclaimed Canberra band Henry's Anger in December 2000 could well be regarded as the conception of Brace. Having spent the previous 9 months sculpting a collection of songs as melodic as they were rocking and inventive. Brace entered the studio to record their debut EP, Before You Begin. It's a confident slice of intelligent rock that bypasses the post grunge, nu metal and nu punk set in favour of a more refined, experimental yet easily digestible collection of songs.
