Classic Fm is a true introspection of the young extrovert, with some of the most exciting and innovative musical tangents being created by any young artist today.

To explain what Classic Fm is about maybe we should take it from the artists’ mouth “I decided to make something that was true but very unreal. I came up with the idea of having a mix of all my favourite pop songs of all time. I wanted to appropriate all the things that make pop music great in one massive piece of work. You know, my “opus”. I took every single artist, style, concept that has ever resonated with me and tried to do it.”

The album ended up being the ultimate play list of all time. Something that rock and roll music is about. So Love, Sex, Passion, Fear, Death and fun all get a showing through the intricate arrangements and simple melodies of Andy’s music.“It’s taken a long time, a lot of people think that I am crazy but I don’t care, I think it is the responsibility of the entertainer or artist to take a risk. Let’s just hope I have the talent to do it”

Andy’s individuality and his effortless musicality separates him from a crowded musical market as someone to listen to. Andy has recorded the album, he plays most if not all of the instruments, and he produces, arranges, writes and has mixed all of the tracks that you hear.

The Albums inspiration comes from Bacharach and Spector to the pixies, Outkast, The Velvet Underground to James Brown and Bob Dylan.

“The album is hopefully different, but not indulgent” says Andy. Not many musicians can run the fine line between hitting the mainstream while continuing to innovate, surprise and provoke, but Andy potentially can. The ability for music to find you, lose you and then snap you back again is something that only the truly great musicians can do, and Andy can do it.
