The latest opus from U2 is another record of immense quality, intelligence and songwriting brilliance. Entitled, rather confusingly, ‘How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb’ (sounds like a film spoof set in communist Russia), it stands up well against previous U2 classics like ‘The Joshua Tree’ and ‘Achtung Baby’. Kicking off with the first single ‘Vertigo’ (a rock’n’roll blast with a killer riff), it rattles through twelve awesome skyscraping anthems that prove that Ireland’s finest export can still cut it with the big boys. Big bold and brash, ‘How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb’ is another magnificent album from the biggest band in the world.
