Diana Krall's new album 'The Girl In The Other Room' is a departure from her previous 'standards' works. It includes material by Mose Allison, Tom Waits, Joni Mitchell amongst others plus many originals, some also written with her newlywed husband Elvis Costello such as 'Narrow Daylight'. On hearing 'Narrow Daylight', the production alone is sublime and Krall's seductive voice has a pure emotion that will have you transfixed with its intimacy and beauty. If the rest of the album is as good as this track, Diana Krall is set to become a household name. On the evidence of 'Narrow Road' the album could be comparable to Norah Jones' debut, but Diana's Krall's undisputed class and song craft win hands down.
