For three decades, Kiss has been the #1 touring band in the world - selling $300 million in concert tickets in the past four years alone. To celebrate their 30th anniversary in trademark spectacular style, Kiss teamed up with the 60-piece Melbourne Symphony for a live one-off extravaganza. On February 28, 2003 at Melbourne's Telstra Dome, the event was filmed and recorded - the result of months of work by conductors, arrangers and musicians. Paul Stanley had promised a "symphonic sound boom" and this was just what they delivered - adorned with full Kiss makeup whilst they played, it was a spectacular moment - both classic and classical.

Longtime Kiss family member Tommy Thayer once again joined the band onstage, playing the ultra-celestial spaceman on lead guitar, saying that he was "honoured to be part of a show that will go down in Kisstory as one of the biggest shows ever".

Performed in three parts, 'Kiss Symphony' features a powerhouse rock set by the band. It is followed by an unplugged set augmented by a string quartet. Capping off this extraordinary evening, the hard rock kabuki icons performed a final set accompanied by a full 60-piece orchestra.
