Gillian Welch Revelator Collection DVD

Acony Records announces the release of "The Revelator Collection" DVD featuring videos and live performances by Gillian Welch. The DVD was shot entirely in classic black and white film by highly acclaimed still photographer Mark Seliger. While three songs were filmed at the historic RCA Studio B in Nashville, most of the DVD captures two live concerts from the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC and the Bijou Theater in Knoxville, TN.

The live footage gives the viewer an intimate glimpse into a Gillian Welch concert -- the incredible musicianship and harmonies, the provocative songwriting, the funny stage banter, and the off-the-cuff song selections of Gillian and her partner David Rawlings. Of special interest, the DVD includes the never before released, Welch-penned "Wichita" along with an obscure Bob Dylan song as well as songs by Bill Monroe (sung by David Rawlings), Townes Van Zandt and Neil Young.
