Yellowstone Season 4 - Future Release

Yellowstone has become one of the biggest tv shows currently on television. The show has become iconic at this point, with standout performances from its stellar cast, particularly the great Kevin Costner, amazing characters in the form of Costner’s John Dutton and beautiful set designs and scenery. I have become quite fond of this modern, western-epic. It is incredibly well-written and the drama makes for good television. Did you know if you subscribe to Sanity’s newsletter you will be notified when great titles such as: Yellowstone will release on physical media? Well you can and today I am going to tell you why you should sign up to their newsletter so you don’t miss out on the release of Yellowstone later in 2022. So without further ado, here are the 3 reasons why you should sign up for Sanity’s newsletter.

The performances and talent involved – One of the biggest draws of the show is the stellar cast. We have the legendary Kevin Costner (The Bodyguard, Waterworld, Dances with Wolves & Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves) as the lead of the cast, playing John Dutton. He is great in the show and this role definitely helped revive his already stellar career. The cast also consists of Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bently, and Cole Hauser. The show was also co-created and written by Taylor Sheridan, who has been responsible for some of the best films of recent years. Sheridan wrote and directed 2016s ‘Hell on High Water’ and 2021s ‘Those Who Want Me Dead’. Sheridan is a marvellous writer, really capturing the human condition, struggle, and the truth in the story he is telling and the characters he has created. The talent involved with the show is simply stunning and it adds to the authenticity of the show and the credibility of its longevity and popularity. Definitely one of the highlights of the show thus far.

The Characters and the Story – The most important part of a successful television show is the story and the characters. Without these two ingredients, a show is setting itself up to fail. The story here essentially follows a ranching Family, the Dutton’s in Montana who are constantly trying to keep others from encroaching on their land and their empire, and the family will do anything in their power to stop this from happening. The plot has so many intricacies and focuses heavily on the character which is what makes the show so engaging. The Dutton family’s patriarch ‘John Dutton’ (played by Kevin Costner) is such a detailed and layered character. We have got to see the character grow over the first four seasons and the more we get to know about him, the better he gets. We understand why he does what he does, and we also understand that nothing is going to stand between him, his empire, and of course his family. If you are going to watch Yellowstone, you will want to watch it because of the cast, but you will keep watching because of this story and the characters. I am telling you; it truly is amazing.

The setting and scenery of the show – I am a sucker for a great setting for a show. If a show has great locations and great scenery, it really does add to the production value of the entire show and elevates it. I am pleased to say that Yellowstone is indeed one of these shows. The show shoots across both Utah and Montana, which shows the beautiful American countryside. I love the way the Ranch looks, it adds to the overall story and feels like a character. A fun fact about the Ranch is that it is real and located in Darby, Montana, which you can actually stay at if you are in the states. It just looks incredible and is truly an amazing set. The backdrop of the show just makes you feel like you are amongst the grit and the drama. The direction always captures the picturesque setting and I always find myself constantly mesmerized by what I am seeing on screen. The show's director of photography Ben Richardson who has worked with showrunner Taylor Sheridan on multiple projects including Wind River does an amazing job and oversees a lot of the principal photography for this show. Nearly every shot looks like a painting. It’s a work of art and is simply stunning. The setting and scenery will constantly keep you engaged throughout and is one of the highlights of the entire show.

The release of Yellowstone Season 4 on DVD and Blu-Ray cannot come quick enough! For the reasons, I have highlighted above this is a must have for fans of the show. Be sure to sign up to Sanity’s newsletter so you don’t miss the opportunity to pre-order season 4 on Blu-Ray and DVD when it is released later in 2022.
