Europe’s Most Wanted is directed by Eric Darnell, Conrad Vernon and Tom McGrath. Darnell and McGrath directed the first two installments and are joined this time by director Conrad Vernon, who earned kudos as director of Shrek 2 and Monsters vs. Aliens, and served as a voice on Madagascar and Madagascar 2. The Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted screenplay is written by Darnell and Noah Baumbach (Fantastic Mr. Fox, Greenberg). It is produced by Mireille Soria (Madagascar 2) and Mark Swift (Madagascar 2).
Music remains central to the franchise, as the Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted soundtrack album will include a number of themes by Academy Award-winning and four-time Grammy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer. In addition to 2005’s Madagascar and 2008’s Madagascar 2: Escape 2 Africa, Zimmer is celebrated for his soundtracks to The Lion King, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Inception, and many other titles. Zimmer has scored over 100 films. The soundtrack also features Katy Perry’s smash hit, Firework.
