Mother nature has a dark side.

Having just finished fighting an alien monster in Outlander, Caviezel will next be seen on DVD this June battling more earthly terrors on in The Long weekend. Long Weekend,is director Jamie Blanks (Urban Legend, Valentine) near shot-forshot remake of a moody 1978 Australian chiller about a bickering couple from the city (Caviezel and Claudia Karvan of Daybreakers) that head out for a long weekend getaway on a secluded beach and find themselves on the wrong side of mother nature after not showing it the proper respect. Bugs and snakes and other local animals of the land, air, and sea don't take kindly to these city slickers tossing their trash about or shooting at the wildlife for kicks.
